The Group was mainly into plantation of spices and other hill products. Sulthan Bathery eventhough connects Wayanad with major places like Mysore, Banglore, Ooty etc, always lacked a hotel with good facilities. It is this need for a hotel that led the Puliyammakkal Group of Concerns to start Hotel Mintflower - a hotel with three star facilities.
