Mr. A.M. Buhari, a former Sherif of Madras, moved to Colombo, Sri Lanka at an early age for his education. It wasn't long after completing his schooling that he discovered his calling, and through his passion for creating food, he carved out a worthy legacy in the culinary industry. He was the first person in the city of Madras to combine the fine dining that the British had perfected, with Indian food to shape a whole new dining experience.
All the guests adore gorgeous Indian and Pakistani cuisines at this restaurant. You can always try good tandoori chicken, chicken biryani and soup - a special offer of Buhari. The tastiest dish is tasty falooda. You will be offered great tea or delicious coffee.

After many years, I tried Buhari again, and it brought back great memories. The mutton biryani was awesome, the chicken biryani was good, and the chicken 90 was tasty too. The dragon prawn had a nice sweetness to it

Buhari Hotel is one of the best non veg restaurants in Chennai. The snack time is the highlight, with fluffy buns filled with rich butter and jam. Delicious

One of the old Chennai biryani spots, but the taste was terrible. I ordered their famous chicken 65, and it tasted like grilled chicken dry and cold, not fresh at all. Total disappointment. Not worth the money.
