About This Business

Hotel Maris has been an integral part of the Chennai landscape since 1975. It is ideally located in the heart of Chennai’s bustling business and commercial district, on Cathedral Road, an arterial road that connects Nungambakkam and Mount road on one side and Mylapore and Santhome on the other.
Hotel Maris is also flanked by the iconic Music Academy and Narada Gana Sabha making it one of the sought-after places to stay during the annual music season in Chennai. An unrivalled combination of warm South Indian hospitality and efficient service, has won the Hotel a loyal clientele.
Contrary to common belief that it might have been named after the famous and old educational institution Stella Maris College (which is incidentally in the vicinity), the Hotel took its name after their family patriarch Mariapillai, a resident of Tiruchirapalli and the founder of the Maris Group of Companies.
