In 2005, Instore a business focusing on Women's wear was founded with the first store in Pondy Bazaar. In 2007 Instore opened its second store in Purasawalkam. In 2018 it expanded into Children's and Men's wear exclusively at the Velachery outlet. The Anna Nagar store commenced its operations in 2022.

In May 2019 Instore's e-commerce store - www.instore.co.in went live.

More than 95% of Instore's entire team is women.
Instore has an in-house designing team which passionately believes in creating affordable sustainable designer fashion for women of all ages.

Instore does believe that fast fashion can cause more harm than good. Its our aim to have a responsible and sustainable approach in fashion.

Our in-house collection extensively uses South Handlooms, Natural fibers like Cottons & Linens, Handblock prints, Vegetable Dyes, Indigo Prints, Kalamkari Prints, Dhaboo Prints, Bagru Prints, Kutchi Ajrakh Prints, Ikkats and Batiks. We work with Master Artisans across India, to bring to you the charm, colours and aesthetics of India's rich textile heritage. Trends may come and go, however these traditional Indian fabrics never will go out of fashion.
