She then left for England for higher training from 1990 to 1995. She received FRCS from the royal college of Surgeons, Edinburgh. and then MRCO from the Royal college of Ophthalmology, London. After her return, she was head of ophthal dept at Tamilnadu hospitals, and later at Fortis Malar hospital. She has been practicing ophthalmology at Thiruvanmiyur for over 15 years.”
