MAHARISHI VIDYA MANDIR SENIOR SECONDARY SCHOOL

Maharishi Vidya Mandir Sr. Sec School, Chetpet, Chennai-31 came into existence in the year 1983 with Yogasana, Pranayama and Transcendental Meditation as the integral part of the Curriculum, with a motto, “Knowledge is structured in Consciousness”, as advocated by our spiritual Guru and founder His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Ypgiji. A modest beginning with a student strength of 75 in 1983, the school marched progressively with increased student strength and enormous infrastructural facilities in the years that followed.
Within a short spell of 34 years, the school developed on the wings of success and earned a reputation in maintaining the educational standards.
New ventures and experiments promote the holistic development. The activities in Scholastic and Co-Scholastic domain are manifold. Be it Academics, Special Activity or Cultural Fiesta, Service Movements, Sports, Technology aided learning and Personality Development, there is total response in promoting the awareness of the students in each and every branch of learning processes.
Since, the Silver Jubilee Year 2007-2008, hardly a year passes without enlarging the scope of professional excellence. The Group of Institutions established in and across the State of Tamil Nadu are under the ambit of Maharishi Vidya, Chetpet, Chennai. The Management is sparing no effort in realizing this vision, as the emphasis is laid in developing the capacity of innovations for intellectual growth.
The qualitative and quantitative growth in pursuit of academic excellence over the last three decades, is due to the support and guidance from the school management and sustained effort from the band of teachers and students at large.
