S.Abdul Samad started selling homemade chicken biryani & chicken 65 from a small road side stall in broadway, Chennai. His hard work, perseverance and passion helped to stabilise his business increased in volume steadily over the years. What’s the secret to his taste recipes? It is his mother’s secret receipe which he cherishes to this day. This business was later conducted under the name and style of SS Hyderabad Biryani Pvt Ltd - a brand name which is very popular amongst all biryani lovers. The first eatery was started on a small scale in 1998 in Perambur with a seating capacity of 8. This eatery was so popular and led the way for starting a series of branches all over city.

If you want to eat with friends, this might not be the best place. It gets very crowded because it's popular, so service can be slow during peak hours. If you're with a group, you’ll need to eat quickly. They don’t offer combos or foods that take a long time to cook.

I had been planning to visit this place for a long time because I wanted to try the best Hyderabadi biryani. I loved the biryani and tandoori. It was a bit of a struggle to find a safe parking spot since it’s on the main road. I got a parcel to go, and it was neatly packed.

I’m a regular customer at this branch and love the mutton biryani and grilled chicken. The first-floor seating is clean and nice, but it gets crowded after 1:30. To avoid waiting, go before 1 o’clock.

This is one of the best-flavored biryanis in the city and one of my personal favorites. They operate mainly from the Perambur location. I recommend visiting at 12:15 pm to get the biryani at its freshest.

The Chicken Biryani, Mutton Biryani, Grill, and Tandoori are excellent. The mutton is very authentic and tastes almost like Hyderabad biryani.

The service was terrible. The staff was unhelpful and didn’t even know if there was space to sit and eat in the restaurant. They told us we only had half an hour to eat on the first floor.

The food tastes okay while you're eating, but later it causes stomach problems. The chicken pieces were bad and looked like old coal.

It was a terrible experience. I found a hair in the biryani, and the waiter didn’t apologize. Instead, he thought we might leave without paying and blocked our way until we paid him. The service was awful, and the waiters were rude and unprofessional.

The service here is the worst. They cheated me a couple of times by missing items from my order and refused to admit their mistakes. They don't check orders properly before sending them out. The answers they give are just excuses to cheat customers. The food is cold and the meat is old.
