All my grandchildren love baking. On Saturdays, Annabel's boys, Louis and Toby, always bake. Louis makes a chocolate cake, and Toby makes either banana or lemon drizzle cake. They're 12 and 10, and can do it all by themselves. My son's twin daughters, Abby and Grace, are 14. They make birthday cakes and prefer doing it on their own when Mum is out of the way.

Shops often try to overcharge you. Only buy if the price is reasonable and always check the quality.
