About This Business

A non-profit association of volunteers under the banner of the Basavanagudi Aquatic Centre (BAC) was formed on December 7, 1986 under the leadership of Mr. R. Neelakanta Rao Jagdale. Mr. Jagdale has taken keen interest in the activities of the Centre. In the midst of his busy schedule as an industrialist, he has acquired considerable knowledge in the science of swimming training by obtaining certification from the American Swimming coaches Association (ASCA).

The association is registered as a society under the Karnataka state societies ACT 1960. The name of the association has been subsequently changed to Basavangudi Aquatic Centre.

The pool is clean and has affordable prices. They say you get 1 hour, but you’re only allowed to swim for 40 minutes, which is still fine. Safety is important, so watch your belongings, even though theft is rare. Don’t forget your swimwear Now stop reading and dive in

This is a good, clean, and big pool. There are public sessions starting at 6 AM, each for an hour, but they allow 45 minutes of swimming. There's also a small pool that's 3 feet deep for kids. Kids can play in the big pool with the help of adults. They charge 40 rupees for kids and 50 rupees for adults.

The women's swim classes are either from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM or at 9 PM. There’s no safety at the pool area. The watchmen are rude and push swimwear on you, even if you have your own. The dressing rooms are poorly maintained with broken doors. I would not recommend this place.
