The sweets here are delicious and very fresh. When I wanted to take some back to my city, they helped me choose the freshest ones and advised me on which ones would last the longest. They're also reasonably priced.

Bhagavan Sweets is one of the oldest sweet shops in Madurai. Their sweets have a homemade taste, including the famous local Sourashtra athletic sweet. You can buy them without any doubt about the taste.

The quality is terrible; sweet items develop fungus within a day. The savory items are also below standard. We purchased some sweets and found white fungus on the kaju katli and green burfi. Avoid this place.
