About This Business

The Franciscan Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary’s Congregation was founded in the year 1844 in Pondicherry. The very inception of this congregation was aimed at liberating the illiterate womenfolk from various types of atrocities and social injustices. The sisters of this congregation are deeply committed to the motto of the congregation. “Sanctification of sisters for the Sanctification of Women”. Though the congregation runs a large number of educational institutions, health and social work organizations in various parts of India and abroad, education has been their strongest weapon to achieve the above said motto.
