About This Business

Gedee Advanced Driving Institute (GDADI) started in the year 2000. The institute is part of the G.D. Naidu Charities, a charitable Trust, envisioned and established by Late Shri. G.D. Naidu, who is a renowned scientist, educationalist, and philanthropist of his time.

Shri G.D. Naidu started his bus transport in 1920 with one bus and over a period of time his transport company United Motor Services (UMS) owned over 280 buses. His management style and good governance was widely spoken and was compared to the British Transport Services.
It was well-known for its customer care, punctuality, cleanliness and good maintenance of the buses. His company became a benchmark in the transport sector.

In the year 1999, the company was wound up. But later in the year 2000, it branched out into a Driver Training Institute, the well-known Gedee Driving Institute, with the core philosophy and principles of the founder, Shri. G.D. Naidu and currently run by his son, Mr. G.D. Gopal

There were days when I longed to drive but had no car. Later, when I finally had one, driving still felt like a far-off dream. I didn’t know whom to blame.
So, I decided to embark on a secret mission—my own Operation Sindoor. I enrolled myself at the highly reputed GEDEEE Advanced Driving School, and to my luck, I had Mr. Prabhu Shankar as my Trainer. Hats off to him for his exceptional training skills!
Prabhu’s stern words at times, and his encouraging words most of the time, transformed me into an empowered woman. Just two weeks post training, I now confidently drive my SUV—Tata Harrier.
My trainer’s mantra still echoes in my mind: “Road safety is a state of mind, and accidents are absence of mind.”
Whenever I’m behind the wheel, his words remind me to drive slow, drive safe, and remember that life—mine and others’—has no spares.
I wholeheartedly recommend GEDEEE Advanced Driving School and salute Mr. Prabhu Shankar, the Tenacious Trainer who made this possible.

Undoubtedly the premier driving school in Coimbatore, featuring experienced and patient instructors who effectively communicate and provide training on diverse terrains. Each day, we had the opportunity to drive different vehicles, which enhanced our understanding.
Students who learn here are assured of becoming safe and responsible drivers.

They have their own driving track for initial basic practices, which spans 4 days. Within this time, you learn the fundamentals of driving and become confident to drive in rural areas. Over the next four days, students are trained in rural settings, preparing them for city driving on Coimbatore's bustling roads. By the end of the training, students are well-prepared to drive independently.

The training I received was excellent. Mr. Moses patiently provided instructions whenever I made a mistake and guided me on operating clutch and braking systems for both diesel and petrol engines. He taught road assistance thoroughly, and overall, the training experience was really beneficial. I am thankful to my instructor for his dedication.
