One of the worst schools in Coimbatore is Stanes. Despite being well-known, they still require a compulsory donation of one lakh rupees. Don’t waste your money on Stanes; there are many better schools in Coimbatore now.

The fee for LKG is very high at ₹1,35,000, and that doesn’t include transportation. They haven’t clarified if there are additional donations required.

Stanes School has lost its appeal since local Tamil Christians took over the management. Christians are given priority, and there are few Anglo Indian teachers. Most students speak Tamil inside and outside the classroom. Before the 1990s, only people from higher social and economic backgrounds could get admission, but that’s not the case now. In 2020, even old students were asked to pay a ₹90,000 donation for LKG admission, with an additional donation required for 1st standard. The only plus is the large campus with decent sports facilities.
